How TamilTech Reports the News
TamilTech is a Tamil and English technology news publication for India and the global Tamil-speaking diaspora. This page explains how we research, write, review, and publish the articles you read here.
Our Research Workflow
Every article on TamilTech goes through this process:
- Topic discovery — Our editorial team identifies stories from official press releases, OEM announcements, primary-source interviews, financial filings, and industry research. Topics are also surfaced from trending searches and reader requests.
- AI-assisted research — We use large language models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek) to gather background information, summarise primary sources, and draft initial copy. We disclose this openly. AI is a research tool, not a substitute for editorial judgement.
- Human editorial review — Every article is reviewed by a human editor before publication. We check facts, verify pricing/specs, ensure Indian-context accuracy, and confirm the Tamil translation reads naturally. We add original analysis and India-specific framing the AI cannot provide.
- Publication and revision — We publish, then continue to update. Live events get real-time updates. Older articles get refreshed when prices change or new versions launch. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the article.
What We Will Not Do
- Publish articles we have not reviewed.
- Hide that AI tools assist our research workflow. Hidden AI use is the actual problem; disclosed AI use is normal modern journalism.
- Take payment to write or alter coverage. Sponsored content is clearly labelled Sponsored.
- Use affiliate links without disclosure. When we link to a product on Amazon or Flipkart and earn commission, the article notes this.
- Publish reviews of products we have not seen, used, or had access to detailed primary-source documentation about.
Corrections and Reader Contact
We welcome corrections. If you find a factual error, broken claim, or stale statistic, email [email protected]. Verified corrections are applied within 24 hours and noted at the bottom of the article.
