$900 Game Console! Sony

PS5 Pro: $749 → $899 ($150 increase). Standard PS5 disc: $549 → $649 ($100 increase). PS5 Digital Edition: $499 → $599 ($100 increase). PlayStation Portal (PS5-ஐ வேற room-ல் stream பண்றதுக்கு use ஆகும் handheld): $199 → $249 ($50 increase).

August 2025-ல் first hike — approximately $50 increase. இந்த round more aggressive.

Sony-ஓட official explanation: "continued pressures in the global economic landscape."

அந்த AI servers-க்கு massive amounts of high-performance memory chips வேணும்.

Reason 2 — Supply Chain Issues: Ukraine மற்றும் Iran conflicts shipping routes, energy costs, component logistics-ஐ affect பண்றது.

Microsoft last fall Xbox prices உயர்த்தியது.

Exact New Prices — April 2-

UK: PS5 £569.99, PS5 Digital £519.99, PS5 Pro £789.99, Portal £219.99.

Europe: PS5 €649.99, PS5 Digital €599.99, PS5 Pro €899.99, Portal €249.99.

Japan: PS5 ¥97,980, PS5 Digital ¥89,980, PS5 Pro ¥137,980.

PS5 Pro ₹74,990.

Sony India officially new prices announce பண்ணவில்லை.

Comparison-க்கு: Nintendo Switch OLED used condition-ல் $250–280 கிடைக்கும் — standalone game play பண்ணும், existing console தேவையில்லை.

PS5 Pro ₹90,000 Worth It-ஆ?#

PS5 Pro-ஓட advantage: better GPU, improved PSSR upscaling (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution — PS5-ஓட own தொழில்நுட்பம், 4K quality-ஐ improve பண்றது), supported games-ல் higher frame rates. 4K TV users-க்கு real visual difference visible.

₹80,000–95,000-ல் PC gaming build போடலாம் — backward compatibility decades of games, Steam sales, no PlayStation Plus subscription for online play.

Standard PS5 ₹65,000-லயும் question இருக்கு. Nearly 6 years old console design, PS6 2027–2028-க்கு முன்னாடி வராது expect.

PlayStation Plus subscription-உம் expensive ஆகியிருக்கு. 2026-ல் console gamer ஆவது 2023-ஐ விட significantly more expensive.

Sony price hike bad news for gamers — ஆனா honest news about electronics market reality. AI demand-ல் RAM shortage real, supply chain costs real. Manufactured excuse இல்லை.

ஆனா 6 year old console design-ஓட mature phase-ல் PS5 Pro-ஐ $900-ல் price பண்றது — bold bet. Current PS5 owners-க்கு: nothing changes. First-time buyer-ஆ இருந்தா: April 2-க்கு முன்னாடி current price-ல் buy பண்ணு அல்லது old stock clearance wait பண்ணு.
