இது என்ன / எப்படி வேலை செய்யும்?#

இது என்னன்னா scalable systems-ஓட building blocks-ஐ step-by-step காட்டுற guide. Load balancer, caching, database, sharding, queue, CAP theorem — இதெல்லாம். அப்புறம் classic problems: Twitter design பண்ணு, Instagram design பண்ணு, URL shortener design பண்ணு. Trade-off discussion, sample architecture, interviewer விரும்பும் checklist — எல்லாம் markdown-ல neat-ஆ இருக்கு.

Python tag இருக்குனாலும் பெரும்பாலான gold markdown explanations-லயும் diagrams-லயும் தான். Example snippets சில Python-ல இருக்கலாம். அதாவது Code எழுதற course இல்ல; design thinking கத்துக்கிற handbook. Diagram பாத்து, trade-off யோசிச்சு, whiteboard-ல draw பண்ற பழக்கம் வரணும்னா இந்த structure சூப்பரா உதவும். யாருக்கு?#

Final-year CS student whiteboard பார்த்து பயப்படுறவங்க. Tier-2, Tier-3 college-ல இருந்து Flipkart, Swiggy அல்லது late-stage startup-ல system design screen வரும்போது திகைக்கிற freshers. TCS, Infosys, Cognizant-ல mid-level-ஆ இருக்கிறவங்க product company-க்கு jump பண்ண நினைக்கிறவங்க. Client கேட்டா "Diwali traffic handle ஆகுமா?"னு சொல்லணும்னா credibility வேணும் freelancers. Razorpay அல்லது PhonePe loop முன்னாடி refresh பண்ற working professionals. எல்லாருக்குமே.

எப்படி try பண்றது? (Free path)#

ரொம்ப simple. Official page https://github.com/donnemartin/system-design-primer-ல போங்க. Green Code button அழுத்தி git clone பண்ணுங்க. Slow connection-னா README-யை browser-லேயே படிக்கலாம். npm install இல்ல. Docker compose இல்ல. API key இல்ல. Clone பண்ணினதும் README open பண்ணி, “System Design Topics” section-ல இருந்து ஆரம்பிங்க. ஒவ்வொரு topic-க்கும் short explanation + diagram idea இருக்கு.

Anki flashcards folder இருக்கு — Anki app install பண்ணி import பண்ணிட்டு daily 15–20 cards drill பண்ணலாம். Office commute-லயோ night shift break-லயோ போதும். முதல் வாரம் load balancer, caching, CDN மாதிரி basics முடிச்சுட்டு, அடுத்த வாரம் URL shortener / news feed design practice பண்ணுங்க. Whiteboard இல்லன்னா plain paper அல்லது Excalidraw போதும். Interview simulation வேணும்னா friend-ஓட Discord call போட்டு 45 நிமிஷம் timer வச்சு design explain பண்ணுங்க.

இந்தியாவுல 2–3 real use cases#

முதல் use case — college final-year project. “Online bookstore with flash sale”னு topic எடுத்தீங்கன்னா இந்த repo-ல இருந்து caching + queue + database sharding ideas எடுத்து architecture diagram போடலாம். Examiner-க்கு “நான் scale யோசிச்சிருக்கேன்”னு தெரியும். Course fee கட்டி online bootcamp போக வேண்டாம்.

இரண்டாவது — freelance / small client work. Client Diwali sale traffic பத்தி கேட்டா, CDN + cache + read replica பத்தி இந்த material-ல இருந்து confident-ஆ பேசலாம். Invoice-ல “system design consultation” line போட credibility வரும். UPI-style payment flow design பண்ணணும்னா consistency vs availability trade-off பத்தி இங்கேயே notes இருக்கு — PhonePe / Razorpay மாதிரி high-volume flow யோசிக்க உதவும்.

மூன்றாவது — IT services-ல இருந்து product company jump. Limitations — நேர்மையா சொல்றோம்#

இது complete video course இல்ல. Live mentor இல்ல. Hands-on coding lab இல்ல. English markdown தான் — Tamil explanation இல்ல. Basics தெரியாதவங்களுக்கு முதல் வாரம் கொஞ்சம் heavy-ஆ தோன்றலாம். Production-ready code generate பண்ணித் தராது; design thinking handbook தான். Interview-ல company-specific nuance (Flipkart inventory, UPI settlement window) நீங்களே add பண்ணணும். Star count பெருசா இருந்தாலும், உங்க domain-க்கு custom example வேணும்னா கூடுதல் research தேவை.

அப்புறம் — Anki cards helpful, ஆனா daily consistency இல்லன்னா மறந்துடும். Clone பண்ணிட்டு folder open பண்ணாம விட்டா எந்த பயனும் இல்ல. So discipline உங்க கையில தான்.
