At CES 2026, LG Electronics has unveiled what can only be described as a work of art masquerading as a television. The LG OLED Evo W6, affectionately known as the "Wallpaper TV," takes the concept of wall-mounted displays to its absolute limit.
Impossibly Thin Design
The W6 measures just 2.57mm at its thinnest point – roughly the depth of a standard pencil. When mounted on a wall, the TV appears to float, creating an illusion that your content is painted directly onto the surface.
Design Highlights
- Thickness: 2.57mm (thinnest OLED ever)
- Weight: Just 7.4kg for the 77-inch model
- Mounting: Magnetic attachment system – no visible brackets
- Materials: Aerospace-grade aluminum and carbon fiber composite
- Gap from Wall: Less than 5mm when mounted
Wireless Everything
The true magic of the W6 lies in its wireless technology. The display panel contains no ports whatsoever. Instead, all connectivity is handled by the Zero Connect Box 3.0:
- Wireless Video: Up to 4K 144Hz with zero latency
- Power: Wireless power transmission up to 10 meters
- Audio: Wireless connection to soundbars and speakers
- Range: Box can be placed up to 30 feet from the TV
Picture Quality Leaps Forward
LG hasn't sacrificed performance for aesthetics. The W6 features:
- Brightness: 20% brighter than W5 (peak 2,100 nits)
- Panel: META Technology 3.0 with micro lens array
- Processor: α11 AI Processor with 4x AI performance
- HDR: Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HLG
- Refresh Rate: 4K at 144Hz, VRR support
- Response Time: 0.1ms for gaming
AI-Powered Features
The α11 processor enables unprecedented AI capabilities:
- AI Picture Pro: Real-time scene analysis and optimization
- AI Sound Pro: 11.1.2 virtual surround from built-in speakers
- AI Brightness Control: Adapts to ambient light conditions
- AI Art Gallery: Displays masterpieces when TV is idle
Smart Home Integration
The W6 serves as a complete smart home hub with:
- Built-in Matter support for smart devices
- Thread border router functionality
- Voice control via Google Assistant, Alexa, and ThinQ
- Home Dashboard for controlling connected devices
