Motorola’s Chinese division recently began teasing the upcoming X70 Air Pro, and now the company’s international X (Twitter) account has also hinted at a major announcement scheduled for January 6, 2026. This has led to speculation that both teasers could be referring to the same smartphone.
In China, the device known as the X70 Air is marketed globally as the Motorola Edge 70. Meanwhile, Motorola is also preparing to introduce its new Signature series, with the first device expected to debut as the Edge 70 Ultra. However, it is still unclear whether the exact name will be retained at launch.
Given this lineup strategy, it is highly likely that the X70 Air Pro, Edge 70 Ultra, and the upcoming Signature series device could all be the same smartphone, rebranded for different markets.
