Mark Zuckerberg wants every person on the planet to eventually have their own personal AI agent. He is starting with himself.
The Meta CEO is building a personal AI agent specifically to help him run Meta — a $1.4 trillion company with 78,000 employees. According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, the agent is still in development but is already being used to help Zuckerberg access information faster: retrieving answers that would typically require him to go through multiple layers of executives and staff.
This is not a side project. It is the clearest signal yet that AI agents are no longer just tools for developers and power users — they are becoming operating infrastructure for how the biggest companies in the world are run.
What Zuckerberg's CEO Agent Actually Does
The agent is designed around one of the most time-consuming problems in running a large company: information retrieval. At a company like Meta — with thousands of teams, projects, data sets, and decisions happening simultaneously — a CEO's time is constantly eaten up by the process of finding out what is actually happening.
