Launch day is here — OnePlus 15T drops today
Stop what you're doing. OnePlus 15T officially launches today — March 24, 2026. The wait is over. If you've been tracking this one, you already know the specs look ridiculous for the expected price. If you're just catching up, I've got everything below.
Let me walk you through the complete confirmed spec sheet, all five storage variants, the three colors, and what India pricing is likely to look like.
The display — 6.32-inch LTPO AMOLED, 165Hz, 1.1mm bezels
Starting with what you look at all day. The OnePlus 15T gets a 6.32-inch LTPO AMOLED panel at 165Hz refresh rate with 1.5K resolution. The bezels are confirmed at just 1.1mm — that's slim. For context, most phones in this price range are running 1.4-1.8mm bezels. This will look premium in hand.
LTPO means the display dynamically adjusts refresh rate from 1Hz to 165Hz. Reading a static article? Drops to 1Hz to save battery. Scrolling fast or gaming? Jumps to 165Hz. Combined with the 7,500mAh battery, screen-on time should be exceptional.
The chip — Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Confirmed: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This is Qualcomm's latest flagship chip, the same generation running in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. OnePlus has been aggressive about getting the best Qualcomm chips, and the T series is where they put the latest and greatest.
Geekbench confirmed the chip earlier this week. Multi-core scores are putting it solidly in top-tier territory — BGMI, Call of Duty, Genshin Impact all on max settings without breaking a sweat. Thermal management is the real test at launch, but OnePlus has gotten better at this with each generation.
The cameras — dual 50MP with OIS everywhere
Camera setup is one of the strongest parts of the spec sheet. Both primary cameras have OIS — which is unusual at this price tier.
50MP main camera with OIS — hardware optical image stabilization, not software-only. Better low-light, better video stability.
50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS — OnePlus confirmed this is an upgraded periscope compared to previous generations. 50MP resolution on the telephoto is a spec you typically see on phones costing ₹80,000+.
For Indian content creators shooting wedding coverage, travel vlogs, or Instagram content — dual 50MP with OIS is a genuinely compelling camera setup. No selfie camera specs confirmed yet — that likely reveals at launch.
The battery — 7,500mAh with 100W wired + 50W wireless
This is the headline spec and it deserves the attention. 7,500mAh is one of the largest batteries in any flagship-tier phone in 2026. OnePlus confirmed this weeks ago — not a leak, official. Charging: 100W wired (full charge in approximately 45-55 minutes) and 50W wireless.
For Indian users dealing with long commutes, power-cut prone areas outside metros, or heavy usage days — 7,500mAh is not just a spec flex. It's genuinely useful. Even at heavy use, this phone should easily last a full day. At moderate use, you're looking at day and a half to two days.
IP69K — the water resistance rating you didn't expect
This one surprised me. OnePlus confirmed an IP69K rating for the 15T. Not IP68 — IP69K. The difference matters: IP68 is standard waterproofing up to certain depths. IP69K adds resistance to high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. It's a rating originally from automotive/industrial standards. For a consumer phone — it means this thing is seriously robust against water and dust.
In Indian monsoon conditions specifically, IP69K means you can use this phone in heavy rain without thinking twice. That's meaningful.
The fingerprint scanner — ultrasonic in-display
Confirmed: ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. This is the same type of scanner Samsung uses in the Galaxy S26 — faster and more reliable than optical in-display scanners, works with wet fingers. Most phones in the ₹50-70K range use optical scanners. Ultrasonic at this price point is a premium detail.
All five storage variants
Pre-orders in China opened with these five configurations:
12GB RAM / 256GB storage
12GB RAM / 512GB storage
16GB RAM / 256GB storage
16GB RAM / 512GB storage
16GB RAM / 1TB storage
India typically gets a subset of these — usually the 12/256, 12/512, and 16/256 at minimum. The 16GB/1TB variant may be limited or China-only. We'll know official India configurations at today's launch.
Three colors
OnePlus confirmed three colorways: Healing White Chocolate (warm off-white), Pure Cocoa (brown tones), and Relaxing Matcha (green). All three names have a food-and-drink theme that's very deliberate — OnePlus is going for a lifestyle vibe here. The White Chocolate and Matcha options in particular look striking in leaked images.
Magnetic accessories
OnePlus is launching magnetic accessories alongside the 15T — similar to Apple's MagSafe ecosystem. Cases, charging stands, wallets. This is a new direction for OnePlus and India-specific accessory availability will be interesting to watch.
Expected India pricing
No official India price yet — that's today's reveal. Based on OnePlus T series history and China pre-order pricing patterns, here's my estimate:
12GB/256GB: ₹59,999 – ₹64,999
12GB/512GB: ₹64,999 – ₹69,999
16GB/256GB: ₹69,999 – ₹74,999
If OnePlus prices the base variant at ₹59,999, this is a genuinely aggressive value proposition against the Samsung Galaxy S26 (starts ₹79,999) and iQOO 13 (₹54,999). Watch Amazon India and OnePlus.in for the reveal happening today.
Should you buy it?
If you're coming off a OnePlus 12, OnePlus 13, or any phone in the ₹50-60K range from 2023-2024 — this is a compelling upgrade. The jump to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the 7,500mAh battery, and the IP69K rating together make a strong case.
If you're a Samsung Galaxy A-series user looking to move into flagship territory — this is the phone to look at before deciding. The camera and battery specs punch significantly above the price.
If you primarily care about software updates and long-term support — Samsung Galaxy S26 is still the safer bet at ₹79,999, with 7 years of updates guaranteed. OnePlus's update track record is decent but not Samsung-level.
